Maya
Most people who teach Yin yoga are also energetically more Yin. Maya is the opposite. She carries a slavic spirit with a raw strength and she teaches yin from that same solid place of resilience. Her deep love for yin was born from the power it harnessed within her and how easily she translated it from the mat to the real life struggles.
Her aim is to teach people to face struggles—instead of hiding from them—and discover the inner strength to overcome them. She was taught in India, by the true “old school” teachers, who have a military-like approach, and this awakened within her an ancient strength she didn’t know was there.
8+ Years of teaching
Maya has a nursing bachelor’s degree and a masters in psychology. Then… she has a long list of various yoga teacher trainings. Starting with a 200 and 300 YTT at Vyasa Yoga Peeth School India in 2016.
She has since completed 5 more various YTT in India and Bali, counting more than 1300 hours of YTT trainings.
Her studies span across traditional Hatha, multistyle, yin and restorative yoga and today loves to combine multiple modalities, from breathwork techniques, to functional anatomy and myofascial release all with a goal to support the body’s recovery and nourish body & mind connection.
